Oxford Honors Scholars--Program Elements The Oxford Honors Scholars will complete all elements of the regular Honors Program at Georgetown: (1) 15 hours of Honors Credit (eight of these hours may be earned at Oxford), (2) an interdisciplinary Honors Seminar, and (3) an honors thesis (usually completed in the senior year). Oxford Honors Scholars will complete these requirements in a specific sequence designed to maximize training opportunities early in their college career, and each Honors Program element will be slightly modified to mirror some of the excellent practices of teaching and learning at Oxford University. In addition, Oxford Honors Scholars will attend up to six workshops in the first two years of college. Workshops will focus on enhancement of core academic skills, independent engagement with the student's own discipline, and the goods of the Oxford Tutorial Method of instruction. A more complete account of the Oxford Honors Scholars Program including a list of yearly requirements is available HERE. |
